HERE IS THE GUIDE TO BEATING THE SUPERBOSS ERESHKIGAL LOCATED IN THE ULTIMATE LAIR. GPHE IS ONE OF TWO SUPERBOSSES IN THE GAME.

NOTE: This is how I beat Ereshkigal with a setup that actually works quite well versus the Guides. However, I did use a bit if the guide to help in it.

--Bio: Ereshkigal is one of two Superbosses in the game. He is slow at first and his defenses are high, but slowly changes as you achieve staggers. He is a mix between a Wyvern and a Cie'th. He was created as a creature to replace humans. He is a Chaos Beast and the only one of his kind. The "Ruler of Time and Space" Plays and it changes to "Unseen Abyss" after he uses Awakening.

Strategy:

Ereshkigal is a Barrier Monster like Yomi of XIII-2. However you have to Stagger him three times before you can really start doing damage. Ereshkigal will use a variety of strong attacks (listed above) and all of which should be guarded against. He will also bestow Bravery, Faith, Protect, and Shell and this is where special accessories like the Warrior or Mage Hunters Mask comes into play. Make sure Heavy Slash is equipped to use these items.

Immediately cast Slow on him twice to stick it on. Any DeBuffs will need this done. Wealth proves useful to knock down the strength of its abilities like Mega Meteor which can go through even guarded defenses. He will other sentences as a warning to what is to come.

Resonance deals heavy damage even through a guard though it's strength won't be as powerful. Heal as needed and this is more so after half health when he uses Awakening. It removes Barriers but doubles strength and magic. Keep DeFaith active at al, times on him as his ultimate spell, Super Nova, goes past any defenses and will kill Lightning. Trine becomes Hexine AF this point.

A first shot induces Fog which means he can only use physical attacks and certain abilities. The third stagger will make putting on DeBuffs Easily. The third stagger is the time to go all out on him.

Using Chronostasis to get to that is a best idea. Ethers are handy, but unnecessary if you barely use EP. A Crusaders Potion, Nectar of the Gods Omega, Enero Potion, or Hero's Potion will do e I use to bestow extra status boosts like Regen, Bravery, or Haste. A potion that revives her will also be useful if you have no EP yo spare.

Other Info:

About the Ultimate Lair: The Ultimate Lair is located somewhere in the Dead Dunes. It appears on the extra day via a Cactuar Statue near Ruins East Gate or via teleportation from the Ark. It is a anomaly in time and Bhunoevelze's training and creation grounds to create stronger and more obedient servants.

What's Inside:
Floors: 33
Monsters:
--The Enemies are all Last Ones though if you drove a particular species to extinction it will not appear. This is the place to kill the Meonekton Omega as it takes a whopping 65,535 to get the last one.
--The Superboss Ereshkigal is on the 33rd Floor

To get to him the player must beat all the last ones to unlock the Cactuars on each floor. It is recommended to kill all the last ones before going in. You cannot use EP to slow down time and time still continues on even in battle.

Notes:
--* = Certain Stats depend on the day and mode you play on. (i.e. Health is more in Hard Mode then Easy Mode).
--The Guide recommends certain other Garbs, but it wasn't working for me at all so I changed it. When I did so the battle went beautifully and I got 5 Stars. I didn't have any Ethers at all, but I didn't need it. I had the ReRaise Potion as well.
