                          Lightning Returns FFXIII
                                Desert Lullaby Lyrics

Silent Whisperers
Share their secrets
Mortal dreamers
Escaping with the wind

Legends speak of
Tales of fortune
Desert demons
Waiting, sleeping through the night

And so we're told
Of treasures worth their gold
Lost in the sea of sand
Empires did stand
Crumbling
A forgotten youth

And so we carry on
With hope and love detached from us
To gain what life we can save till dawn
The Gods have sung their song
Dead Dunes keep us all
Waiting for our souls to rise again

When the night rides in
Silence creeping
Desert Lullabies
Forgotten with another time

Songs of harmony
Smiles and laughter
Those remembered
Softly kisssing us good-bye

And so we're told
Of gems that light the soul
Convinced the other lands
Hold what we can't have
Squabbling Till we find truth

Digging through the sand while
Searching with our hands
For the treasure which lies
Beneath
Our feet

Brethren
Chaos reigning
All the lucky ones
Fighting to stay alive

And so we're told
Of the one who knows us all
Behind the lock and key
Lies, what we will be
Desperately
Trying to find truth

And so we carry on
With hope and love detached from us
To gain what life we can save till dawn
The Gods have sung their song
Dead Dunes keep us all
Waiting for the hidden sign For the shining light

Game:  Lightning Returns FFXIII
Soundtrack: Disc 2, Number 3
Intro:  Wildlands - Evening Thene
Duration:  9:19
Lyric Writer: Composed by Naoshi Mizuta. Performed by Gabe McNair.
Japanese Name: Dezato Rarabi

The beautiful evening soundtrack played during the evening time in the Dead Dunes. It's a long theme that to me has Indian or Arabian Sounding feel to it. Each of the areas of Lightning Returns has a theme depending on the time of day you are there.
