                                           Dark Depths Scene

-Then it happened. . .

-Cloud stumbled during a hard attack by Kane who saw him stumble as did Sephiroth. The blonde moved back, stumbling as he tried to gain his footing back underneath him again. Kane grinned when he saw him struggle to gain his footing and attacked. Clood looked up and saw Kane coming at him which caused his blue-eyes to widened wide with horror. He knew that he wouldn't be able to repent for this mistake. He closed his eyes, prepared to take the attack.

-"Cloud, look out!"

-He heard the voice as he finally got his feet back and looked upwards. His eyes widened when he saw a streak of silver and black in front of him, the person's hand spread out in front of him, "No!!" he cried out, but it was too late.

-The sword pierced directly below Sephiroth's heart. The silver-haired gave a small gasp of pain whne he felt the sword go into his chest and out his beck. He brought his hand up just as the blade appeared at his back and grabbed the blade, feeling the sword move intill it was at its hilt. He knew that Kane was trying to move the sword more through till he hit Cloud, but he wasn't about to allow it. His hand was covered with several small and large marks from holding onto the sharp blade.

-"Your will is amazing," said Kane with a grin as he looked toward Sephiroth's face. He moved back, his hand holding onto the bar of his Crescent Sword. The silver-haired's body jerked and buckeled befor ehe collapsed onto the sword, his hand letting go of the sword and falling limp at his side. The blonde stood behind him, shock and horrified. Blood continued to flow from his wound and cover the blade, dripping onto the floor and creating a pool of blood. The floor of the Dark Depths became a darker, blackish looking color.

-Thmp, thmp!

-Kane looked up when he heard the sound of several shoes clinging on the short walkway to the Dark Depths as well as from the outside in the trench that lead to the entrance. He looked up with an evil grin as several of CLoud and Sephiroth's friends appeared. They stopped at the entrance to the Dark Depths when they noticed Cloud sitting on the floor, eyes widened in complete shock and his body seemed to be shaking. Tifa stepped forward and saw that his face was a pale white.

-"Cloud, what's--?" she asked as she ran up to him.

-"So, you guys finally realized what was going on, eh? But a little too late though."

-"What do you--?" but Leon had no time to complete it, for his eyes saw what Kane was meaning. "No. . ."

-"Oh, my god!" gasped Tifa when she saw the site as well, her hand covering her mouth.

-Sora and ht eother also noticed what he was meaning. They saw Sephiroth standing before Kane with the blue-haired's long, curved sword through his chest. Blood covered the silver-haired's body, dampening his clothes into a thick, darkish brown color. Sephiroth's hands were laying limply at his sides and his legs were having a hard time keeping him from falling to the blood-stained ground of the Dark Depths.

-"Sephiroth!!"

-The silver-haired heard Aerith and Yuffie's screams from behind him and opened his eyes. He looked back and saw them standing near Cloud with Leon and the others. Cloud still sat on the floor in shock, Tifa holding him up. He gave a small smile when he saw that Cloud wasn't hurt. . .

-. . .at least he was alright, "Run. . .Get out of here. . ."

-He felt a tug on the blade, "I guess I'll use this oppurtunity at hand."

-". . . ?!"

-Kane began to pull his sword out, the blade straightening on his will but there was a snag halfway which caused the blade to curve up just a bit. He looked down and saw Sephiroth's hand holding back onto the blade. He would rather be impaled then off the blade from this endevor he was making. He had a strong grip on the sharp metal, but Kane could see it was lessening down every minutes. He gave a grin as he yanked the blade out of his chest. Sephiroth gave a gasp as he felt it being removed, his body learching back from the force.

-He took a step back to allow his body to collapse forward just a bit, his eyes beginning to clsoe. Kane then moved forward a bit and caught him on his right arm as if in a "kind" gesture, but he had other plans for him instead. He felt one hand grabbing his arm as the silver-haired was trying to keep himself up. He then lifted his body off the blood 'till his feet weren't touching causing his hand to let go of his arm. He looked toward his face and saw the blood that dripped from his mouth. Blood fell from his wound like a raging river and he could feel the warm blood hitting his feet.

-Cloud saw him holding his lover's body off the floor and knew he was in trouble, he struggled to sit up, but he was weak from the hard battle. Kane grinned as he saw him do this, but knew he wouldn't make it to him in time. He looked toward him with a grin before tossing Sephiroth to the side brutally. Cloud gasped when he saw this, eyes only focused on Sephiroth as was with the others.

-Tifa gave a cry of shock and covered her eyes in near horror as she saw what about was to happen. Most of the others looked away as Sephiroth gave a loud scream as he hit the rock wall only a few feet behind where he had been. He then gave a groan as he slid down the wall a bit before falling forward off the wall to land on the floor of the Dark Depths. A streak of blood was left on the rock wall showing where he had hit.

-His body hit the floor slightly on his side and stomach with a loud thump! before he moved more onto his side. His hands fell limply near his head and chest, one leg curved inwards. Blood pooled around his body as his hair fell onto his body or around him in the bood that formed. Small groans exited his throat as he fell still on the floor.

-Sora ran over to him with Aerith, "Sephiroth!!"

-"Seph!" cried Aerith as they reached him.

-The brunette went around to his back and knelt down quick as she could. She reached over as best as carefully as she could to touch his side. She moved him back with a hand on his shoulder to see where he had been hit. Sephiroth groaned when she felt her hands touching his shoulder and around his waist.  She knew he must have several broken bones and bad internal injuries from the hit.

-Aerith gasped when she saw his wound, "This is bad. . ."

-Sora knelt down on the other side, his gloved hand touching his shoulder, "Sephiroth. . ."

-Tifa moved forward as she got into a battle stance, her hands out and into fists, "Why you--!!"

-Cloud got onto his knees before standing up, "You bastard. . ."

-Kane gave a grin as he lifted into the air, "I'll leave you alone for now. . .But I'll be back. . ." The blonde ran forward and tried to slash at him, but missed by a few inches. Kane gave a laugh as he noticed the silver-haired looking up at him, not quite happy himself. He seemed to still have strength him, but it wasn't enough to get him off the floor, "I wouldn't be worrying about me. I believe you have someone else to worry about. . ."

-"?!"

-Aerith looked up toward the blonde, "Cloud! Cloud, please hurry!" she cried, tears flowing from her eyes. "Hurry! He's fading fast!"

-Cloud whirled his head, "?!"

-"You best hurry. I don't think he'll be in this world for much longer. . ."

-Clodu barely heard Kane as he disappeared into a black and blue light. The blonde was already running over to where the silver-haired was laying on the floor with Sora and Aerith on eitehr side. Aerith was holding her arm around Sephiroth's lower body, keeping her agaisnt her legs and wtaching his pulse. Her eyes were wide with fear and panick as she could hear the harsh and barely steady breathing flowing from his lips. Blood flowed down from his mouth in a stream that didn't seem to stop.

-Her hand was rubbing gently on his back, soothing away the pain from the wound and hitting the wall that outlined the Dark Depths. The rubbing also made him feel quite queasy so she was careful that she didn't make the movement too fast and watched not to touch the wound. She then gently peeled and pulled the top off of Sephiroth's body, revealing the sticky blood that hand clinged to his his skin and the deep gash he had in his chest.

-Blood was still flowing from his wound like a raging river, but was beginning to slow down as he slowly began to fade awy. Aerith used part of his blood-stained top to stop the blood from flowing from his chest. But with a wound on both sides and cloth already soaked from blood, it wasn't doing much work. It came past the cloth and seeped onto her hand and dress. Sephiroth was trying his best ot breath, but it was hard, "Don't die! Don't you dare die on us! Stay with us!!"

-After a wheeze of breath and cough to remove blood from his throat and mouth, he managed to answer, "You don't have to. . .yell. . .," he said, spitting out more blood nto the floor. "I won't die. . .not yet at least. . ." Sephiroth fought for each of his breaths as it was getting harder to breathe through the blood that filling his lungs. His left, which had been nicked by the sword, was fille dup even more. All he really wanted to do was close his eyes, but Aerith's screaming kept him from closing his eyes completely.

-Aerith, however, remained in a panicked state. How could Kane do this? Why? She calmed herself down and placed her hand on the wound as she heard Cloud's footsteps draw closer. She concentrated ona  Curaga, hoping it would his wound. The energy flowed from her hand and into Sephiroth, causing him to cry out in pain. Sora held onto his hand as she continued to do her work. It was worse then healing any other wound, "Try to relax. . ."

-He gave a groan, "Please. . .Stop. . ."

-"We have to get your wound healed," she said as she continued.

-Sephiroth reached up toward her hand, "Stop. . .I can't. . .take it anymore. . .," he whispered with a groan. Aerith finally relented and stopped the spell, but kept her hand there to try to stop the flow of blood. He relaxed his body and gave small gasps as the immense pain from it finally relented.

-"What in the world happened?" asked Leo.

-Sephiroth coughed some more and spoke into between heavy breaths, his eyes not looking up at him, "Kane was. . .about to imaple Cloud. . .and I saw that. . .so. . .I took the oppurtunity to get. . .in front of him. . .," his eyes were closed halfway as he fought to stay alive.

-Aerith's eyes widened in shock, "Wha--?! For him to run you through instead?! Couldn't you have blocked it instead?!"

-"I wish. . .I could've. . .but my sword was too far away for me. . .to get to it in time. . .I had no choice. . ."

-"Seph. . .You can't die. . .not this way," she whispered, her eyes dripping tears from them and rolling down her cheek.

-The silver-haired smiled before he coughed again, spitting out more blood from his throat. He closed his eyes as he gasped for air and his ears then picked up the sound of footsteps splashing through soemthing wet on the floor. He knew what that wet substance was already: blood. His blood. He felt Aerith move away and Sora letting go of his hand before he moved away. Someone else was here and he by their movements that it was Cloud.

-Cloud knelt dwon behind him and reached over his body, his arm wrapping around his chest, right underneath his wound. The silver-haired opened his eyes and looked down to see a black gloved hand with a sleeve over the arm. Sephiroth closed his eyes and gave a moan as Cloud moved him against his legs. He then gave a loud groan as he felt his upper body being lifted off the floor, causing him to cough again. He felt himserf being turn over as he gave a wheeze and samall moan as his body moved still. The blonde was shifting his position in his arms, his head on his arm.

-Sephiroth coughed as he turned his head, spitting out another handful of blood. His head then turned to the other side and he felt something made of cotton and leather. His hair covering his eyes. He felt a hand reaching up and gently running through his head to move the strands away from his face, "Seph. . ."

-He gave another cough as he lifted his arm which was nudged between his side and Cloud's stomach with as much strengt has he could. His hand then grabbed onto something leather which he recognized as a strap that went over his chest. He then felt a gloved hand grab a gentle hold onto his wrist, "Ohh. . ."

-"Seph, please. . .Open your eyes. . .," he heard in a sob.

-Everyone else stood nearby, worry and sadness in their faces as they watched the scene before them. There was a huge enough pool of blood underath them that it slowly surrouded both of them, blood beginning to appear behind him. Sephiroth gave another cough as he slowly opened his eyes. Slowly, Cloud began to appear above him, "Coud. . ."

-Cloud managed a small smile, "Yes, I'm here. . ." he whisperes oftly as he rubbed his hand on Sephiroth's arm ina comfort motion.

-He held him in a way that would be most comfortable in his arms, a comfort embrace as one would say. He knew he was in a lot of pain from being hit as most would be. He wasn't showing the pain visually however as he was more used to it. And it was causing a lot of damage to the inside of his body. His body continued to be racked by coaughs, each one causing a handful of blood to come out from his throat. His lungs were working their best to help him brfeath, but it was getting harder by the minute.

-Cloud knew well enough what that sword was capable of doing to a person. He knew of the pain that would be set into someone if they got hit by it. Those with a fatal wound in the heart were more lucky then anywhere else. They died instantly from it, those who got hit like Sephiroth suffer a whole lot more. The pain would soon be visible in him.

-"Hang in there. . .," he whispered, tears forming in the back of his eyes.

-Sephiroth gave a soft, weak smile as he lifted his hand that was laying on the floor up to Cloud's cheek, "I wish. . .that I could. . .," he whispered softly.

-The blonde's eyes went wide with shock at what he had said. He knew immedaitly what he was meaning, "No. . .You won't die. . .not like this. . ."

-"Cloud. . ."

-"Hang on. . .You'll be fine. . ."

-" . . . . ."

-"Seph, please. . .You won't die," Cloud's embrace tightened. "I won't let you. . !"

-"Uhh. . .Cloud. . .My body is so weak right now. . .I know I won't survive. . ."

-"Seph. . ."

-"You can try. . .but. . .I know I won't make it. . .," he whispered before turning his head to the group. "Sora. . ."

-Sora walked over to him and knelt down as he reached into his pocket. He pulled out his hand and reached it up to Sora. Sora lifted his hand and 3 shiny objects dropped into his hand, "I was saving them to give to you later. . .but. . .you should have them now. . .Use them wisely. . ."

-"I will. . .," he said as he stood back up. He looked at the items and realized that one was an accessory, an item, and a keychain which meant it was probably a new powerful keyblade.

-"Sephiroth. . .," he heard in a whisper.

-He turned back to Cloud who looked down at him with tears falling out of his eyes. Sephiroth lifted his hand up and touched his chee, "Cloud. . .," he whispered as he took his hand. "I will be with you. . .Not matter what. . .You have to remember that. . ."

-"I will. . .," he whispered in a sob.
